Danger, Will Robinson!

What happened to me today will certainly to be added to all the Stress & Rescue certification books. You've surely heard of the dangers involved when a diver panics from an out of air situation or the stresses experienced by a diver who gets lost..
But have you ever heard of Angelfish Overload?!?!
Here's my story.
I was on one spot for close to an hour (yes, one whole dive) where I photographed the Yellow Butterfly fish and the Tang. When all of a sudden two French Angels swoop in from the top of the overhang and start circling me.. They're criss-crossing each other, moving straight towards my camera---you name it, they did it. Here I am shooting different shots of them feeling like the photographer for some Hollywood super model. "Yeah, show me that smile! Work it girl, work it! Perfect!" Then sure enough a Gray Angel joins the club. Now I'm doing the Twist-and-Shout in every direction to try to get a shot. Along comes a Queen Angel and it too starts swimming around me. Jeez! I'm starting to smell fried brain electrons. Overload! Overload! Just when I'm about to blow a fuse along comes a Blue Angel and they all start swimming around me... I'm going nuts!! "What do I shoot? Oh wow! Look at that pose. Take the shot! Damn! This digital camera takes forever to save the shot. Oooh, ahhh, wooooah!!!" BZZZ!! BZZZ!! BZZZZZ!!! <POOF>
I actually exhausted myself and had to backaway from the scene for a few minutes because I was sucking air faster than a turbine engine. I literally hyperventilated. Boy do I feel stupid but what the heck.. it was fun!
So there you have it. Expect to get trained soon on how to save a diver from Angelfish Overload--a dangerous situation if the diver lets it get out of hand.
