SoCal dive macro

The only way to keep DD alive is for us to start posting pictures and talking about cameras.
After several months of non-camera dives, I was able to get into the water here in southern California with my old Olympus E-330. Although visibility was poor, opportunities for macro photography were abundant.

Wonderful pictures.
It would be nice if you could get an 'updated' shot of the caviar every few days.
|
|
I agree. My friend Phil and his wife, Merry, have some earlier images of the roe. Unfortunately, it hasn't been practical to return to the dive site on a regular basis to chronicle their development.

Great pictures Jim. Good to see you posting again. It has been lonely here lately. Only Jim "Gilligan" keeps me, the cold water suffering soul, happy. I hope we can revive this friendly place Your Hermissendas look so much different from ones here on Whidbey ...
|
|
Jan,
As long as you and Jim keep putting your spectacular images here, I'll return every day to check.
Please show me a Whidbey H. crassicornis to compare.

Jan,
Your H. crassicornis are much paler. I wonder if that's due to differences in food.
Thanks.
|
| Jim. Maybe is the sun, or lack of it. I am also much paler since I moved from San Diego to Whidbey
