OK, I've been hinting about this to a few people, but I inked the deal today so it's official.

Digital Dive In-donesia '06

May 3 - 16, 2006

5 nights at Murex Bangka Island Resort (http://www.murexdive.com/MUREX_resorts_bangka.html)
4 days diving Bangka Island  (3 boat dives/day)
Transfer to Murex Lembeh Resort (http://www.murexdive.com/MUREX_resorts_lembeh.html)
2 dives (afternoon and night) on arrival at Lembeh
4 more days of diving Lembeh (3 boat dives/day)

Included:
  • 10 nights lodging - beginning May 5
  • meals at the resorts
  • airport transfers and transfers between resorts
  • taxes
  • diving as outlined above
  • unlimited shore diving (the Mandarin Goby dive is the house reef at Murex Lembeh, wink, wink)

Not included:
  • airfare - Although you can make any travel arrangements that you wish, we highly recommend that you book air thru:
    Vickie Coker
    Travel Masters
    Toll Free 866-UW PHOTO
    (512) 834-2520

Vickie is the booking agent for the resort and will work closely with you when booking your air to Manado. Vickie is recommending one of two options from LAX:
    • non-stop LAX to Singapore on Singapore Air featuring their Executive Economy class of service. This means seats that are 3" wider, with 7" more leg room and deeper reclining seats in a 2-3-2 configuration. Pricing for this option will be ~$1800.
    • or, you can select a connecting flight thru Narita Japan (coach class) for about $1400.

  • Overnight in Singapore on the return trip from Manado. Vickie can also book this for you as part of a Singapore Air package which includes the airport transfers in Singapore.  Expect $100/pp double occ. for this stay.
  • Nitrox - both resorts have Nitrox available at $10/tank
  • $25 visa fee upon arrival in Indonesia
  • $20 departure tax on departuer from Indonesia

Price: $1,540/pp

You've all seen the amazing photos that come out of this target-rich diving environment. Please plan now to join us for another great Digital Dive In event in a truly amazing place. We have a maximum of 20 spaces available, so don't delay. I will post a payment schedule later this week.

Edit: Dates were pushed back by one day (originally May 2-15) as Singapore Air changed their flights.

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
Richard

I'm a definite!  Woohoo!  Count me in - my check book is at the ready!

Wonder how much an extension on the way home to divert over to Exmouth would be...   Anyone want to go visit Alcina and the whale sharks?

Are more dives / day available (for more $$$ of course)??

That is a long way to go for 3 dives / day. Actually 4 wasn't enough!

Additional boat dives in Bakaken are $20/ea.
Additional boat dives in Lembeh are $30/ea.

As I mentioned above, unlimited shore dives are included.
