Thanks for the trip report. Looks like I'll stick with bonaire too!

The G9 looks like a good camera underwater. Nice shots of the seahorse, great find.

Very nice trip report and photography. Like John, I think I'll stick with Bonaire too.

I've never seen an underwater photo gallery before!

Am I dreaming... is this a dream?

Lovely photos.

The first thing I noticed in Curacao that's different to Bonaire, is that most people have bars on the windows in Curacao.

I keep going back to Bonaire, but have just been once to Curacao.

Two of the three times we've gone to Curacao we've stayed at Sunset Waters, done our shore diving there and diving with Sunset Divers.  It's way out west, away from everything and is all-inclusive.  We've only seen one other boat on several days during 30 days of diving.  We did stay at the Hilton once several years ago, but on that trip we had a group from Annapolis and the SeaScape shop there really catered to us.  On that trip we also spent a free week at what was a timeshare and we drove/dove around the island.  That was in 2003 and I don't remember the trash problem that now seems so prevalent.

One of our favorite dives was also the Tugboat, that we did from the shop next to it on land.  The photos were not there then, but a whole group of Dutch SEALs met us as they were on maneuvers there.

We returned to Curacao in August 2009 and stayed at AllWest.  Had a great time.  We'll be back, it's just easy and relaxing.

Sunset Waters had gone into bankruptcy earlier last year and while we were there the contents of the property went up for auction.  Very sad, but just like after Hurricane Ivan destroyed our timeshare on Grand Cayman, we have our memories.
